The Red Bayonet is playing Assassin's Creed II

First game I remember playing was Ecco the Dolphin on my dad's IBM computer. Ended up beating that game, too. Spent too much time playing it.

After a good year or two playing lots of funjucational games like WordBlaster, Math Blaster, and Magic School Bus, I started playing adventure games with my mom. Goosebumps: Escape From Horrorland, Riven, Starship Titanic, Project Journeymen, Neverhood, Escape From Monkey Island, and Grim Fandango were all favourites of mine.

At the end of my PC gaming history, I played a lot of Simcity and RTS games, like Rise of Nations, and Impossible Creatures, but never any of the classics like Starcraft.

First console was a N64. Liked it, played it a lot, but I don't have uber fond memories of it. Evolved to the Gamecube upon it's release though, and that was the console that stole me away from PC gaming. Super Smash Brothers: Melee, Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, Star Fox Adventures, Resident Evil 4, Custom Robo, Tales of Symphonia, Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles, Harvest Moon! Lots of classics on there, think I owned the most games I ever have for one system with that; must have had at least 30 games at one point.

Then, one spectacular birthday party at a friends house later, I was the owner of an Xbox, and Halo 2. Halo 2 was the reason I decided that next generation, after much Nintendo love (and a brief affair with Gran Turismo and a PS2) that I would purchase an Xbox 360 before any other console, and I'm bloody happy about that decision to this day, as I now own all three from this generation, and I still believe the 360 is the ultimate gaming machine at the point in time.

Since the 360, I've been spending lots of time playing Halo 3 (at least 300 hours I would bet). Still not much better than rubbish, but I enjoy it none the less and can compete competatively up to about level 45 in most playlists.

Oblivion was the first game this console generation that I went crazy over. I'm think I'm at 150 hours or so on that. Without a doubt one of my favourite games of all time, though, I'm still undecided as to whether or not I believe Fallout 3 is or is not a better game than Oblivion. Either way, both of those two games are some of my favourite of this generation.

That's about all anyone would ever needs to know, and shouldn't know, about me as a gamer. I truly hope no one ever reads this final paragraph, for humanities sake.

PS: Local co-op gaming is the most under appreciated mechanic in the industry.
