    In the world of gaming, games based on movies usually range from bad to worse, but thankfully Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay is one of the very few exceptions to that rule. You play as the infamous Riddick himself and experience firsthand an interesting part of his gritty life.. Taking place before the events of Pitch Black, you learn interesting stuff about Riddick’s past while exploring and fighting your way through several entirely different sections of the maximum security prison. To survive in this hellhole you need a lot more than just a sharp shiv. The story is full of great action, drama and suspense by means of excellent voice acting, great sounds and music plus stunning graphics. Every time you think you’ve made it, an unexpected twist comes along to spoil Riddick’s day, while making your gaming experience much longer and even more enjoyable. Still, the game could have been a bit longer and towards the end things felt a bit rushed, but all things considered it’s a hell of a game packed with lots of cool features not seen in most FPS games. Plus the PC version has lots of cool unlockable extras like concept art pictures and videos of an early prototype version of the game.

    Dead Space is an amazing 3rd person shooter full or great suspense, horror and sci-fi action. Reminiscent of BioShock and System Shock games, Dead Space gives you things like upgradeable weapons and creepy audio logs scattered throughout the ship. Yes, the story is bit predictable and the game borrows a lot of stuff from other games, but it borrows from the best and still manages to be creative and original. The graphics and sounds are absolutely stunning and run smoothly even on a mid-range system. Chilling music, creepy sounds, loads of horrendous enemies that refuse to die and the scarcity of ammo make sure the difficulty is just right. If you though F.E.A.R. was scary, Dead Space will make you crap your pants.
