Without a doubt one of the best games this year. Because of its AAA status, the game's polish is absolutely incredible. The gameplay, as we know it, is the true and tested formula we have seen in Call of Duty 4 and World at War. The campaign, albeit action-packed and unbelievable, is very loose and confusing, often leaving you confused on what just happened. They tried a bit too much with the campaign, and the pacing and progression could have been managed better. Multiplayer is better than its predecessor. The tweaks and changes that have been made to the perks and weapons truly balance the game and makes for a less frustrating experience. The addition of the kill streaks and new gadgets add more excitement and variety to the game. Although the campaign is jagged around the edges, it's still an amazing experience, along with the fresh and balanced multiplayer.
Because the game is built on the CoD4 engine and gameplay, the mechanics are very much the same. The bottom line? It's fun. At the end of the day, that's all that really matters. The game is a great fill-in before Modern Warfare 2, but it lacks the "zest and kick" that Infinity Ward presents in Modern Warfare.
A really enjoyable rhythm game. Have been playing it for more than a year and with custom songs and the ability to play in interesting ways and constant updates, there's always something fresh that comes up once every month or so.
