  Shadow Complex manages to be one of those rare games that feels fresh and exciting through to the end, where finding all the collectibles is fun and not a chore. The guns are satisfying, graphics beautiful and every explosion is a pleasure.

  Very good for a XBLA title. Really feels like Super Metroid. There's a whole lot of collectibles to find. Story is a bit dull, but didn't bother me. Gameplay rocks. And it took me ~10 hours to complete the game first time, and there are also challenge rooms for hc player (yeah, they are damn hard). more »If you have 15€ to spend on a game, this is what you should buy. « less

  It's Super Metroid meets G.I. Joe. Was a bit short, even while retrieving 100% of the collectibles, but not enough so to feel ripped off. Overall, definitely worth the money, as this is one of the better XBLA games.

  Easily the best Live Arcade game ever made, and it's by far my favorite game of the year. In fact I'm close to calling this one game of the generation so far. Old school side scrolling goodness paired with incredibly deep exploration, a la Metroid, a fantastic power up system, a great graphics eng more »ine, very interesting 2.5D gameplay, some of the best sound effects and music you'll hear out of a non-disc game, and just an overall solid package. You don't even have to collect everything to beat the story mode, so there are tons of things to come back for and keep playing. Lack of multiplayer doesn't affect me since I'm not a multiplayer gamer in the first place (outside of MMOs), but it's worth noting for those people that want that in a game. Outside of this I really can't recommend this game enough. It's the crown jewel of Live Arcade and I can't see it being unseated any time soon. « less

  This is definitely, one the greatest XBLA games out there, some minor glitches but in my opinion nothing to complain about for a XBLA game. Its a good sit back and chill out and play game, something you can take your time with and it sure does bring back that old school Metroid feel, which i love. more » Awesome game. « less

  Very good game. It to a form of the sidescroller making it a 2.5D game with a unique, but flawed, aiming system and a great Metroid feel. The game played great with minor glitches and bugs.   Shadow Complex probably could have used a little more development time to iron out a few glitches and nail down the sometimes awkward aiming system.
