Initially put off by the ridiculously high price tag, I picked this up in the 33% off sale and was extremely glad I did.
I've got very fond memories of R-Type, and the switch to an updated graphic scheme (as well as the original set) is a fantastic one that sees the game updated without being showy, and still as crisp and easy to understand as it ever was.
There'll never be a point where a stray bullet seems unfair because it's clouded by scenery. Every death is down to your own…
