Throughout the game, the player controls the character Travis Touchdown. The game has a free roaming world,allowing Trav more »is to move around on foot or on his motorcycle, the "Schpel Tiger". Game play is open-ended, with the concession that the player must kill the top ten assassins in order to make the storyline progress. I don't even know what to say. I would like to write something opinionated, indicating why it's so bright, but I would be literally quoting these guys. I agree with most of the reviewers who gave it a high rating, No More Heroes is hysterical, bloody fun with marvelous charisma and is one of the best reasons to own a Wii.

i dunno, doom + mortal kombat? I found it boring. Maybe it's just me, but walking down an empty corridor until some guys jump out of an alcove has kinda been done before.

This is THE gamers game. No More Heroes constantly references video game and otaku culture. At its centre NMH is a fairly standard level based hack and slash game with mundane mini games and collectibles to break up the action yet very few games have the charm , personalty and wit that NMH has. Play it!

It’s that time again for my review of a game that has been out for more than a year…

This time it’s Suda 51’s masterpiece, No More Heroes from Grasshopper Manufacture for the Nintendo Wii. Now I’ll be the first to say, I was stoked when I saw the first teasers and trailers for this game, but was hesitant about Suda’s work due to Killer 7. While it wasn’t terrible, it left a sour taste in my mouth.

Subtlety? You want subtlety? No. You get super violent, over-the-top fun, is what you get. No More Heroes is a parody of anything and everything relating to gaming. Combine this with a superb art style, great voice overs, and fun gameplay, and you have a recipe for an awesome game.

Amidst all the talk of Nintendo abandoning its hardcore demographic, one true gem of a game pops up that demands the hardcore to take notice: No More Heroes. easily, in my oppinion, one of the best titles on the wii, and the best 3rd party title to date.

Really cool game! I recommend it to anyone how is fan of Suda's work. Great game for the platform. You won't find anything like it on the Wii.
