But then, as the SNES was born, it did the unthinkable; Miyamoto helped create what is considered by many to be the best of the entire series: Super Mario World. Though it's still highly cherished for its excellent gameplay and puzzle, when it first debuted the game was a jaw-dropping showcase of the system's graphical power, with its gorgeous colors, scaling sprite effects, and exceptional character designs. It was also one of the most creative 2D platformers ever dreamed into existence, as Mario's new yellow cape charmed gamers while he soared high through the skies. The theme song alone makes me happy. I would definitely add it to the SNES must own, must play list. I have played this game multiple times throughout the ages, and have gotten a lot of people to start playing it at a young age. It draws you in, and you can't help but love it.

This is the greatest SNES title ever. It is also the greatest Mario ever. I can't imagine how many hours I've played this game in my life, because I have been playing it since I was 4. The only Nintendo game better than Super Mario Bros. 3. 5/5.

An old saying has it, that the success of a console is determinded by the flagship game which is available by its release. I remember Super Mario World being the game everybody wanted to play, and the sole reason why I bought a SNES in the first place, which I have not regretted for many other reasons after all. A classic Jump N Run, that is loads of fun and it is no wonder that is spawned so many Sequels and Spin-Off's
