Resident Evil 5 (PS3)

Jun Takeuchi, the director of Onimusha and producer of Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, will take over producer duties fr more »om Hiroyuki Kobayashi. Keiji Inafune, who served as promotional producer for Resident Evil 2 and executive producer for Resident Evil 4's PlayStation 2 version, is overseeing the project. In February of 2007, members of Capcom’s Clover Studio were also called upon to help develop the game. However, many developers from the studio moved on to work on the Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, which debuted for the Wii. Several staff members who also worked on the original Resident Evil are involved in development. According to Takeuchi, the game will utilize the same gameplay model introduced in Resident Evil 4, while implementing thematics from the original Resident Evil into the game. « less

A more action focused update of the RE4 formula with less interesting level design. Looks great and is good fun in co-op just don't expect any surprises.

Takes the series of Resident Evil into the opportunities of multiplayer once again, this time with a very fluid co-op system that can be played with either 1 player and computer, or 2 players.

Graphics are up to par for PS3, and sound is decent. For a non keyboard/mouse control it's rather easy aiming on the SIXAXIS, probably due to the laser sights.

Many extras after finishing the story as well. Not rated 5 stars mostly for what genres or themes I prefer.

After two play-throughs and hours of Mercenaries, I’m finally sitting down to write a review of Resident Evil 5. Ready your shotguns and prepare for a gruesome monster fest littered with quick-time events and teamwork.

This game was fun. Kinda short and full of action. Not very scary.

Let’s not kid ourselves, if you’re reading this then you probably already have an opinion of Resident Evil 5.You will know about the ‘unique’ controls and know how they will affect your enjoyment. If the barrier of these controls is insurmountable for you, don’t buy it. While the game is more varied than the demo let on, the controls never improve is exacerbated by the camera, which at times zooms in so close that you loose peripheral vision. But I am not here for a technical breakdown of the game.…
