A beautiful game in sight and sound. This games was the main reason I bought my PS3 XD I have to say that the controls, for a while, got the best of me. They were darn hard for me to get a hang of (still fall off of buildings sometimes .__.) Parkour has always been a dangerous and difficult sport, it’s all about lightning quick reflexes and reactions, making a game for it would be very difficult since you have to think very quick about where to jump and how to jump, many games have tried, and not much have succeeded, Mirror’s Edge on the other hand not only does well, but also makes it look like nothing.

You play the role of Faith, a runner (what the rebellious parkour people in the game are called) who fight against a totalitarian government…

While mirrors edge has its problems the developers should be commended for making the brave leap to make an immersive and acrobatic first person experience. Loved the style and characters but the controls could have been a little more intuitive.

I eagerly await a sequel.

Once again, DICE have done an excellent job with the sound, with even the introduction screen pulsing epic amounts of bass through my sub (and that was just the ‘EA’ logo). An update and game data installation later, and I was at the menu screen, looking over a somewhat bland white and blue city – an interesting theme that takes suit for the rest of the game.
