Hell yes! This game is awesome: amazing singleplayer, even better multiplayer that combines the best of Halo with the best of CoD, and some of the best graphics to this date. Buy it NAO
This is one of my favorite games that I own. I started the Killzone series with Killzone: Liberations on the PSP. I then became a fan of the series and decide to buy Killzone 2 when it was released.
Story:
The stroy is good. You get to meet characters from Killzone and Killzone: Liberations as well as meet new characters. You will like one character for sure because they are very different. But it works well to. I would suggest buying and playing killzone 1 and Killzone: Liberation for a better understanding of the story OR go to youtube.com and watch the cutscenes.
Graphics:
The graphics are amazing. From the scene to the character models to even hit detection. They are all awesome.
Sound
Sound is good, gunfire and explosion are on key. Voive acting is great although Rico's voice might annoyingjust a little bit.
Replay Value:
The A.I. is not stupid and will prove it to you. The story mode will be fun and the harder difficulties will get harder as A.I. get smarter and stronger. Plus there is online multiplayer which is very fun.
Online Multiplayer:
You can join clans and have clan matches and tournaments. The is also three DLC Map packs and Map Pack Three evens brings two new weapons online. The main game mode is called Warzone is pretty much consists of all the gampelay types in the game:Bodycount(Team Deathmatch), Search and Destroy(Just like Assault in Killzone: Liberations), Search and Retreive(Capture the Flag), Assassination(Kill the target player or defend the target player), and Capture and hold.
Killzone 2 is only a short month away from hitting shelves, but the game will definitely be worth the wait. The single-player experience is a truly enjoyable campaign across the Helghast home world that will test your skills, particularly on the higher difficulty levels, and the game simply looks phenomenal for a console shooter. But perhaps the strongest segment of the game is the extremely deep multiplayer, which gives seven basic classes with which you can create your own customized super-soldier after performing your class-specific duties. Not only did Guerrilla achieve a milestone of delivering a great exclusive title for Sony's PS3, it delivered one of the better shooters to come along in a long time. Get your hands on this game.
love the game by it's story line and graphics but wish it had a better gameplay (it's slow compare to COD4 gameplay) and wish it also had a party system.
My friends all have Halo. Almost none of them have a PS3. I got this game, showed them it, and they were stunned. The reasons that this game is so awesome, is because of the great online. The story mode is a bit meh, so it makes it a "get used to the controls, and get some trophies on the way" type of thing. But once you get past that, the game opens up in ways you wouldn't expect it to. The leveling system is awesome, and the online is frantic, but a small caveot has to be the fact that you can't use cover in the online mode. But with already three dlc packs, and some of the best graphics to date, this is a PS3 must have.
Best FPS I've played in a long time. I love that the gameplay is strategic, having to advance on your enemy, rather than standing back waiting for them to come to you. Online multiplayer is extremely intense and fun, even if frustrating at first.
