Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. What can one even say about this game that does not include the words brilliant, spectacular, or ingenious.
The campaign is great. It includes very emotional cinematic moments where you(the gamer) actually feels part of the story. Parts make you angry and want to seek the enemy down and have your revenge for the shit that the enemy is doing. The sniper mission is by far one of the most unique gaming experiences i have been involved in. Kept me on my toes the whole time and is very realistic in the area of when you actually take the shot at the enemy you have to account for the wind factor and have to wait for the right moment to squeeze the trigger.
Multiplayer. Wow, this is definately the best online rank/progression system the gaming scene has ever see. Once you start unlocking stuff it just makes you wanna sit and play for hours. And of course cant forget the smack talking over the internet which is always great and fun. When i played it on the 360 i was a 10th prestige by the time i was done playing this game. I have not yet started to prestige on the PS3 version because i dont see the need to do so being that call of duty modern warfare 2 comes out in a mere month.
The MP maps are designed very well and are very entertaining. The one gripe i have about them is the lack of more map packs released. I really like the variety map pack especially the china town map. Would have definately liked to have seen more released but i guess it just wasnt in the cards.
On a closing note i would recommend this brilliant game to anyone. It has a very gripping and compelling story, and no two multiplayer matches ever play out the same. Even after modern warfare 2 comes out i guarantee i will still come back to this masterpiece which has paved the way for all first person shooters in this generation.· Like · Go to review -

I always have fun when i play online....espcially when i kick a level 50's butt haha and hookin up your headset is nice....except when there are some morons that just make it irritating for you to play. but for the most part i think that this 1st person shooter is a good game. and i would say its awesome and buy it:)· Like · Go to review -
COD4 was good, but not great. I found very little in this game that would make me want to come back to it later on. The multiplayer was good, but never really drew me in. Single player flat out sucked except for the first mission and the sniper mission. other then that its good but there isn't enough there for it to be worth $50-$60 after being out for almost 2 years! If it was $30 i would get it again.· Like · Go to review

While I think the gameplay is a 5 out of 5 I can only give my favorite first person shooter 4 stars because infinityward/Activision is pretty terrible when it comes to backing this product. They should have added dual shock support when the PS3 started shipping the Dualshock 3. They also never fix well documented glitches and the game has even been seriously hacked for extended periods of time to the point where it is unplayable online. I also think single player for all of these games are lame because the enemies will re-spawn forever unless you move you character forward. BUT Hardcore Search and Destroy make the game worth it!· Like · Go to review
