Very good entry into the burnout series, but one of its strengths is also one of its weaknesses.
The open world and lack of being able to easily choose missions to do detracted overall from the arcade feel this game normally has. Its too painful sometimes to have to drive around and find missions appropriate for your current rank. They need to be easily accessible from a list as they were in the previous entries in the serious.
I didn't understand what this game was trying to do for some time. For a while I thought the developers were trying to incorporate open world gameplay where it wasn't wanted or needed. It will take some time for the average Burnout player to become accustomed to a new way of play and there are times when you do want that quick Burnout fix.
However Paradise forces you to think differently, its a game that made a bold move for a series that could have grown stale and bland.
It's a good game but it gets a bit repetitive having to Re-Do the same races after you get a Licenses Rank Up. All and All though its fun and lasts about a month if you enjoy it has much as i did.
Been playing this with my GF and we both love it. Its so easy to get started, and the game is good at providing incentives to get better. I still have not figured out if there is an option for a speedometer, that could help.
