  This game is simply too Brutal to contain! It's got awesome voice acting, lots of famous celebrity cameos, a totally metal soundtrack, brutal game play; it's just got everything!

  while the writing, art design and RTS elements are great, everything else just seems like padding. I was expecting more dungeon sections (like Zelda) and variety in the side quests. However the sub-missions are basically the same four activities repeated in different locations. You find yourself more »completing these distractions simply to gain currency not for the sake of exploration, which to me should the the priority for an adventure game. Collectables are scattered throughout the land, but there isn't really any skill to finding them, you simply drive around until you bump into one, this is due to the fact that the world only opens up to you via the main quest not by any abilities or items acquired. The bottom line, a fun adventure game that innovates with gameplay, setting and story but falls short in terms of game design. « less

  I was extremely excited to experience this latest installment from the brilliant mind of Tim Schafer. What I expected was an inspired Heavy Metal story with all the ingenious writing and immersive environment you would expect from the creator of Psychonauts. While it most certainly delivered on th more »is promise what I wasn't expecting was the most engaging, original, and well implemented multiplayer experience I have experienced on any console. The Stage Battles are what move this game from very good to exceptional. They are frantic fast paced gore fests filled with brutal action gameplay and tense strategy cunning. Brutal Legend may just have stumled upon what it takes to bring RTS gaming to the consoles. 2 negative notes; the campaign feels like it has been cut short, and if one faction takes an early lead in teh Stage Battles it becomes extremely difficult for the other to recover. Other than that this is truly an exceptional game. « less
