Team Ico is brilliant. Enough said. Shocked and staggered, I was taken back by how epic and wondrous the world they created for Shadow of the Colossus was when I picked it up shortly after it's release. The suspense, gameplay, and design is creative and charming for lack of better words. The original score composed by Koi Otani completes this experience, for has your heart in its hands each time you summon the colossi.

The mysterious and dreadful fate Wander and his horse Agro adorn, is somehow enchanting and dire altogether.…

If you liked Ico than you should definitely buy this. Shadow of the Colossus is as good as Ico. The storyline is wonderful and the gameplay is very original.

One of the most epic games I have ever played. For a game that consists of mostly boss battles, SOTC somehow manages to convey a broad spectrum of emotions which, considering the lack of character development, is no easy feat. From the exhilarating battles with the colossi to the sweeping, orchestrated score, every moment in SOTC is an experience. The game is simply gorgeous to behold, especially considering how old it is. Hey everyone, this is a really, REALLY "must play" game. Nice story, good graphics but the ambiance is so big and match so perfectly with the colossus that you can really feel that you are insignificant. This game is strong and is one of the best games of all time. An advice for everyone: Try to play it not on a screen but with a nice projector to have the real feeling of fighting against something that is incredibly huge.

After releasing the cult hit Ico, producer Fumito Ueda earned himself a name for creating wonderfully epic and beautiful games, and boy did his next release Shadow of the Colossus live up to that. Shadow of the colossus is haunting and yet beautiful. The sense of loneliness creating is unmatched together with the great score creates a truly epic game. What's more, the game manages to make you feel bad for coming into this foreign land and sleighing these huge beasts in order to save your girlfriend.

It's tough to make a completely original game now a days. Taking risks is something most companies don't like to do. But back in 2001, Ico was released. A love it/hate it kind of title. Hailed by some as one of the best games of all time, and by others it was hailed one of the most boring games of all time. You must trust in him to complete the story, and when you finally reach the result of your actions, prepare to take full responsibility.
