The first original sports title for the PS2 from Electronic Arts Canada, SSX combines high-speed snowboard racing with i more »nsane big air tricks on what is best described as an exaggerated snow-covered motocross track. Three different gameplay modes and seven different courses stretch the barriers of reality as eight international racers strap onto their boards and go zooming and tricking down the mountain. Up to two players can compete in contact racing with tight split-screen craziness, and the game's soundtrack led by Mix Master Mike of the Beastie Boys and Rahzel of the Roots matches the fast-paced action of SSX quite loudly. « less

First game I ever owned on PlayStation2. I believe it must had been a launch title, but it was amazing and I can still pick it up to this day. I remember how advanced the graphics looked and how crisp the soundtrack was, although I've never believed in EA as a developer, it only became better for fans of the series. The challenges, characters, boards, and courses were definitely interesting and original. The PS2 really impressed me with SSX.
