Full marks to Blizzard for really pushing what we define as fantasy for the Burning Crusade. Hellfire Peninsula was just a "whoa!" moment when stepping through for the first time, quite amazing.
Im not a raider, or hardcore Wow stats sort-of-guy. I like atmosphere, exploration and the like. Outland is just a gorgeous experience from levels 58-70. Extra Thumbs up for the soundtrack, its a stunner.
Much improved over the original game. The graphics have received a nice makeover with a little extra gloss. Some of the new abilities are great, but then it suffers the same problems the original game did. It just turns into a boring grindfest at the end. This time round though, Blizzard went crazy with their raids which became way too exclusionist! As a game, WOW is brilliant, vast and wonderful. As a phenomenon it scares me and it definetly changed the world of pc gaming and maybe the world in general.
It cannot even begin to thing about the countless hours/days/weeks of my life I spent grinding, leveling, collecting etc.
At the end of the day, the game is actually not very deep and rewarding if you think about it and I pledged never to play it again and to support other games again, but this one shook me to the bone.
