Puzzle games are a turnoff for me usually, but here we have an exception. Goo is a physics based puzzler set in very surreal environment. You'll clench your mouse in tension-horror as your goo towers sway in the wind, moments from calamity collapses. There's a very clever game lurking underneath these GooBalls.
As Gozz said, Indie games are getting better and better, World of Goo is a definite example.
Very strange, but fun. Indie games are getting better and better and this one is no exception. The game has a very Tim Burton-esque animation style being very dark and just plain weird. The gameplay on the other hand is cartoony and fun, until you can't figure out that one puzzle and want to drop kick your computer. The difficulty is pretty much the same throughout, recommended.

Oddly addictive, frustrating but fun, World of Goo is one of those games that you sit down to play a few minutes of and end up wondering where the last 3 hours went.
