A good game with a favorable control scheme. Recent updates keep bringing old players back for more. Low level cap of 40 is disappointing if you think about it. However the game has a fun atmosphere and because of large groups of players the game can get really fun. Try it for free first and if you enjoy it GET IT!

Didn't like it

It's a shame that it really didn't live upto the hype. I'm really not sure it even knew what type of game it wanted to be either. It had masses of open world pvp areas (RvR) but 90% of the player base (at least during the time I played) spent most of their time in the instanced Scenarios (Similar to WoW Battlegrounds), leaving the open RVR areas near empty. It was also such that queuing for those battlegrounds could only be done from the perspective races area, leaving 2 out…

Great ideas and RvR (PvP) is just more fun than in other mmo's. Still it lacks players and PvE content isn't that great.

Not a bad game, much better than Age of Conan.
I do like the Public Quest system, and wish more MMOs would adopt this type of "group" quest instead of forced raiding.
Over time though, the game felt like a ghosttown!
The mistake was releasing too many servers.
Also, it just became boring.

Poorly optimized game upon release and designed so that there is no actual realm-versus-realm combat outside of their version of battlegrounds. Not impressed at all.

Mythic took a gamble with Warhammer. An MMO with PVE focussed gameplay? If you go into this knowing the PVE is not that well developed, and there is little feeling of exploring a world, you might enjoy the realm vs realm PVP.

If you like your MMO's high on adventure and immersion, stick with WOW.

WoW in a PvP world setting. Truly mindless grind for PvP non-fun.
Sorry

Gameplay is awesome, if only the servers weren't so desolate this game would be perfect. Never a dull moment.

I love this game. It's great to be able to login, join a warband, and be engaged in a raid encounter or keep siege within five minutes. Over the months I've had some great fun in RvR and some interesting encounters in PvE. It only misses out on 5 stars because, like darkbrigade says, it needs polish. Actually what it needs is a thorough bug fixing development cycle...
...Just played a session or two of the new Land of the Dead content. As well as great new content and gameplay ideas,…

Working my way through the 10 day demo. The game play is fantastic and the PvP (Realm versus Realm) system is fantastic.
