This game is stunning, especially in HD. At times, you are completely immersed in Tolkien's world of amazement. But besides the fantastic visuals, the gameplay is VERY dynamic and always getting better. From the get-go (around level 4 or so) your character has some impressive skills to smash on enemies with, and the combos and abilities with them get more complex and more powerful, which makes the game more of an action game, which steers away from the 'right clicking and waiting for the mob to die tactic'.

I was a newbie to the MMO genre when I found LOTRO. I'd tried trials of any MMO I could trying to see what all the fuss was about, tried WOW obviously, but it just didn't grab me, yes you progressed as in a standard RPG but that was about it, the game looked drab and like a bad cartoon, the story seemed non existant and nothing really excited me. Then after reading a review of LOTRO I decided to grab it on a trial and see if it could…

The graphics, especially in HD, are so beautiful I'd like to walk right into the screen and around Middle Earth in person. I like the variety of characters you can have, especially the chance to play a monster character at times, if I wish. Each addition takes you deeper into Tolkien's world and the story of the War of the Ring in Third Age Middle Earth.

it feels like WoW but a little bit more casual and RP, I don't really know why I like it but... I just like it.

This is the best MMORPG I have EVER played! I love it so much!!!
I am having trouble doing a main, but thats same old news for me!
I reccomend EVERYONE this game! Turbine is grreeeaaat! and they offer awesome deals all the time!
I have a bad computer and have to run everything very low and play with about 10 FPS. But, that hasent stopped me from having fun.
I do not get to enjoy the pure beauty of the game in graphics, but I hope I can one day.

I can just say, that this is the best MMORPG I've every played. Just the graphics alone would win against every other MMORPG out of the market now.

First off let me say, that I have no knowledge of the Tolkien universe. I started playing the game because I heard the community was great, and I was looking for a different type of mmo pace aside from WoW.

I have only been playing a few days, but I am thoroughly enjoying the game! Its a beautiful game, the quests are actually very interesting (at least so far). I'm also loving how we earn our "traits." Just adds a different feel over all.

The only reason I didn't give it five…

I had fun times playing this game and I really enjoy LotR lore but still it gives nothing new to MMO's. Story and quests are very good but it still is just WoW in Middle-Earth.

Very impressive MMO. Stunning graphics and art style. Plenty of character customizations and a very very nice world to explore.

The game is different from World of Warcraft in that it lacks that addictive 'play till 2am' factor. Probably down to the lesser influence of gaining loot. LOTRO is about exploration and gaining attributes for your character.

As icing on the cake Turbine are all over regular content additions.

A nice change of pace from Wow, and a much more polished experience than most other mainstream MMO's out there…
