I have a bit of an ambivalent relationship with this game. As much fun as it is to play it, in the end, it is bunch of mini-games with a high profile name on the box. All you do is roam around the carribean hitting buttons at the right time and that - is - it.

As much depth as my bathtub, but stil fun. Although I cannot understand the praise it earned from reviewers and gamers alike.

    The most well done pirate adventure ever created, Sid Meier's Pirates, lives up to every other game made by Sid Meier's. Pirates is an adventure in which the player can be a pirate sailing with a blood thirsty crew and doing all of the fun things that pirates were famous for. This game is a almost never ending game that adjusts in difficulty as your character ranks up. This is one of my all time favorite games that I will never forget.
