The best thing I could ever say about this game is this: The last time I sat down to play, I looked at the clock and 7 1/2 hours had passed. Civilization is so easy to get sucked into. One thing I really loved in this particular installment of the series was the excellent voice acting of Leonard Nemoy.

A real step up from the disappointing Civ3. Grab the expansion packs and you have arguably the best strategy game on the PC full-stop. As necessary icing on the cake, is the emphasis on the computer AI which plays a clever and fair (depending on your difficulty setting) game. Civ4 has spoiled me, as other strategy games just seem to have stupid AI compared to whats on offer here.

For empire builders, this is the game to indulge your meglomania in. Its a classic game that is a hobby unto…

The mother of all games, why simulate something else if you could simulate mankind itself in a game so briliantly designed it might lead to you dying of starvation in front of the screen longing for that extra "turn" (which may happen to be 500 years in one minute, talking about scope). Best in Series.
