  Fantastic co-op fun! For the best experience, you cant go past the PC version - from the demo, playing this game on 360 would drive me insane. Split-screen annoyances aside, I wouldn't want to play a game with such limited movement and ammo space without the control of a mouse. It also has Games for more » Windows Live, so there's really no excuse for not playing the game properly :P Having said this, the quicktime events are a bitch with the default key bindings, which have you madly dashing to press F+V and A+D in quick succession, but once "Partner Action" is set to Q and "Use" is E, this is much more manageable. As i mentioned above, the game has some movement quirks - you can't run and fire at the same time, can't fire while out of iron sights, or reload while running. At first these were annoying, but they really grew on me after a few hours (although not being able to move while in cover is still annoying) and at this stage, I'm wondering if Capcom did this on purpose. They force you to play the game as a rather unique slow-paced zombie fps, where your always careful and make all shots count, which i found interesting, and enjoyable. The sometimes annoyingly small inventory helps promote this atmosphere as well, making you choose between health, ammo and guns. The inventory space also makes for some interesting swapping and tactics with the other character, and makes some of the gun upgrades (namely bullet capacity) more worth while. Exploring is rewarded well in RE5, which for me is a big plus, with cleverly hidden treasure and much needed ammo and the slower pace means you don't mind taking a look around. I'm not familiar with the RE storyline, past the first couple of movies, but one thing I loved about this game was the involved conspiracy story, and extra info and back story stored throughout the game (although die hard fans might not like inconsistencies with RE5 and the original story chain). People say that the sunlit villages and ruins have taken the scare out of the game, and I tend to agree a bit, especially towards the end where zombies are wielding guns, the game just doesn't feel much like a zombie game. Honestly, i couldn't care less. I'm not a huge fan of horror games, so I reckon leave the scary stuff to F.E.A.R., and just enjoy the game for what it is. I haven't played the game solo, and from the sounds of the AI, I would definitely recommend playing co-op. You can get some good strategies going, and while you may not end up with a pack mule, I think its a much more enjoyable way of playing the game, and gives you a whole different experience. All in all, while RE5 didn't feel as polished as some games, it was extremely fun. Approach the control system with patience because, unless you cant play anything without rampaging, its likely to grow on you. The storyline is decent, and there's a lot of extras in and out of game, with the achievements making unlockables more worthwhile. « less

  As the console versions, brilliant game - both solo and in co-op. Great story and graphics. The PC version gives just that little more with No Mercy Mercs and the ability of modding. Kijuju is once more the place to be.

  Hardly the classic RE that we've come to know and love from RE1-3/Code Veronica, but still a worthwhile video game entry, and the Co-Op is a godsend of fun. More advanced than Left 4 Dead, but still an arcadey shoot-em-up. The storyline elements is what truly sets it apart from other Co-Op survival more »games. There really needs to be more games like it. It'd be even better if there was one closer to Resident Evil: Outbreak. « less
