The game's focus is squarely on community, having players interact with each other and shape the storyline as they get wrapped up in Ragnarok's plot. The game sports anime-style graphics, featuring 2D characters on top of 3D backdrops, as well as music and jingles composed by TeMP. Ragnarok Online offers players two different experience levels. Character levels allow for stats adjustment, while Job levels let players pick new skills that depend on the player's assigned job class -- of which there are seven: novice, swordman, archer, mage, merchant, acolyte, and thief. « less

A great MMO my wife and i played for years. First started in beta and got hooked. One of the hardest games out there to max yourself out, but a game you could play in retirement.

Whew, man, this one is a doozie. I've been playing Ragnarok Online since I was 13 (not counting kRO). I had no idea what I was doing! Unfortunately, in my first few days of experience nobody helped me out in-game. I was typically ignored and/or walked away from. At one point, I remember walking up to two users riding their PecoPeco mounts and asked how they were using emoticons. However, later on I made many lasting friends that I still talk to this day!

Anyway, Ragnarok Online is a very addicting…

Used to be great when i was younger. Loved the graphics. But the grinding got really boring.

The coolest MMORPG released. Many tried to copy him, but RO is still the best!
