Think of Left4Dead (or Left4Dead2).
Now imagine that this game is nothing like it. Nothing like it in a good way...

The game kicks ass with a a shop that allows you to buy weapons/gear between rounds with cash you earn from doing a good job in the preceding round.
It has tons more weapons then L4D or L4D2 put together, including a rocket launcher, a 'real' grenade launcher, a chainsaw(way to catch up L4D2 :P ), AA12 shotgun and loads more.

There are lots of custom player characters with 2 extra packs…

Killing Floor can be summed up as follows: "Here are some zombies. They want to kill you. Kill them instead." Experimental cloning and gene modification has gone awry, as these things tend to do, and now hundreds of thousands of bloodthirsty creatures are rampaging through Great Britain, killing anything that isn't one of them. Fun game but wears off quickly. Just killing waves after waves. I had though it would be mroe fun with the good reception it got. Nevertheless, it's still worth it.

In my honest opinion, I love this game more so than playing "Left 4 Dead." The difficulty is very steep and I can't get enough of it. The Tripwire just released the new DLC character pack, and they've done a fabulous job on it as well as their game. Give it a go everyone.

I was charmed by this game. Originally a mod for Unreal 2004, the developers have taken it a few steps further with this stand-alone title. Gameplay is challenging and engaging, and offers much to do, including a perk system which allows for a somewhat customized experience. The visuals are nothing to write home about, being that it relies on the Unreal 2.5 engine, instead of the more recent 3.0 which brought us the shimmering beauty that is Unreal III. All in all its a good game to pick up…

Really fun the first few times around. I was looking forward to this game very much, but it's charm has worn off rather quickly, which is sad. You basically fight wave after wave of different kinds of zombies, until you can upgrade your weapons with money you get from zombie bounty. Until you kill the "boss". NOT to be compared to Left 4 Dead though, they are very different. A cool little addition is the ZED time or slo-mo, very cool.

Un juego que esperaba desde que existe el 3D. Matar y matar zombis hasta el aneurisma con una partida de silenciosos amigotes. La interface grafica es un poco aburrida, la infografia interfiere un poco con la jugabilidad, en general hay aspectos de diseño grafico que podrian mejorarse considerablemente, pero has especial detalle en las cosas que importan: los zombis reventando. There are lots of custom player characters with 2 extra packs purchasable for a small fee on steam. The persistent level system is awesome: By completing ingame goals (eg, get 200 Headshots) you will gain a rank in a certain perk (eg, Sharpshooter) which then gives you discounts on specialist weapons (eg, Rifle, Crossbow, Carbine, etc) as well as other upgrades, such as increased headshot damage, increased chance of headshot, increased carry weight etc. One thing to remember though; playing solo is very difficult on anything higher then Normal. However the large population of 6(max) player coop servers makes finding a game easy day or night. The only places where the game falls short are a lack of a PvP mode, although it is possible via a mod. And, some people will claim, a lack of on-screen crosshairs, but if that bothers you, just get a pen and some tape for your screen. Note: The lack of crosshairs are by design rather then oversight: The developers feel that forcing players to use ironsights creates a more authentic feel. Bottom line: If you liked L4D but were disappointed by the lack of content, depth, or the way it rewards spray and pray over skill, give Killing Floor a try. At just under $20 you cant go wrong. « less
