    Pros: Very cinematic feel. Enjoyable variety of weapons, plus some new ones, like the Gravity gun, the guided rocket launcher, and that thing that controlled the bugs. Driving sequences were fun. The puzzles-solving aspect continues from the first series.

    Cons: Story was unclear at times, and seemed tacked on. There wasn't a huge variety of hostiles.

    Plain and simple, Valve executed the creation of a superb title. Tons of fun to play, surprisingly high replay value.

    Excellent game, would've given it 5 stars but it's let down by Steam. A single player game put into a platform built around multi-player gaming is a complete joke. All Steam games should have the fact that Steam is a minimum requirement for the game, listed on the box.
    While graphics and physics are better than the original Half-Life, the original has a better story.
    Co-op can be added with Synergy mod though.

    Do not buy this game, it forces you to have a Steam account. you also need a cd key to play it and an internet connection. Not much use if the game is second hand, doh. It doesn't mention the cd key or the steam account on the back of the box (minumum requirements), enough said.

    this is the FPS genre prefected. satisfying gunplay ,clever puzzles ,and tight controls make the game outstanding in the crowded FPS market. the weath of mods available will make the game feel new and fresh for years.

    this is FPS at its best! it can turn of some players becuse of the slower phasing but don't let that scare you away, if you have the patient you should really play this one trough

    the greatest thing about Valve, is that they never have, are or are ever going to make a game that is bad. I've never heard a single complaint about Half-Life, Half-Life 2 etc. the story is very good, it it's very mysterious which compels you through the game and it also f**ks with your mind, (in a funny, cool, torturous way) but valve does that with all their games so thats no surprise. if you play this it will not only be fun, but it will also give you very good skills for puzzle solving and interesting battle tactics that can be used in most shooters.

    It is still a great game, but the story... I don't know, what they chatting or what is happening now, because i don't understand very well english. I want unless subtitles in my language. And the same problem I have with the episodes. :(

    While youngsters may play this game and say "Why all the fuss?", Half-Life 2, like its predecessor, is a milestone in gaming. Especially in terms of NPC facial animation, level design, and real world physics. A pure joy to play.
