  This game will take your soul. I'm not being funny, I don't know why I keep buying Football Manager games, they're so addicting, and all it is in essence is a beautified spreadsheet! For me, FM2009 was a major disappointment -- there weren't enough new features, the layout was both new and unclea more »r, with little help or orientation, and the 3D match view was buggy and very lacking. This time around the interface is extremely slick, it's so easy to navigate around quickly and easily. Backroom Meetings are a brilliant addition, it makes it worthwhile to hire staff not just based on a single statistic for training purposes. With the right people you can get some wonderful insight into how the opposition play and the best way to handle yourself. 3D match view is still redundant in my eyes but at least it's better implemented - if you have a PC capable of handling it (oddly enough mine doesn't appear to be good enough even though it can play all the most recent games very well... sort it out, SI!) you get some nice effects and it's nice to see the stadium and crowds as your team is playing. Some of the goals can look extremely satisfying too! If you liked the previous versions there's enough new here to keep you interested (as always...). If you're new to the game then try out the demo first - you can continue your saved game when you decide to buy the full version. Just one word of caution, don't buy it if you're due to be doing anything important - you can easily eat up a good 3 hours on this game and not even notice. « less

  only played for a couple of hours and already sucked into the game :) very addictive and even more so with the unlock able achievements :) well worth playing if FM fan

  In short FM2010 isn’t an evolutionary step in the series. Instead it’s merely an incredibly well produced update. SI has lovingly polished the FM bodywork, added some spoilers, alloys and a couple of PS3s in the passenger seats, but underneath it’s the same engine. Luckily under the hood every more »thing is in full working order; for detail and realism FM2010 is - as usual - in a league of its own. It’s the stat-heavy beast beloved by millions of PC Gamers, but prettier, more accessible and with some ingenious new tweaks. FM2010 is not however a Fernando Torres-style game-changer that takes the series to the next level. « less
