Dungeons & Dragons Online: Eberron Unlimited (PC)

The defining pen-and-paper RPG becomes the ultimate massively-multiplayer online game as Turbine Entertainment and Atari more » bring the basement sensation into the light of computer screens all across the world. Dungeons & Dragons Online is centered on robust character advancement, challenging dungeon combat, meaningful guild politics and territorial control over major portions of the game world. Players choose and develop a character based on some of the iconic races and classes associated with D&D - after which they can socialize, find quests, group together and equip themselves for future battles. The game also lets players travel alone or in parties as they explore the seemingly endless dungeon complexes found beneath the world. Through the dungeons, players will engage in physical and magical combat with hideous foes straight from the pages of the Monster Manual rulebook. « less

A game that I really enjoyed but didn't see value in a monthly subscription (wouldn't have had the time available to get 'my monies worth'.. yes I know how silly that sounds..

Have been able to jump in and out whenever and wherever I have a free 30-40 mins to spare. Some of the more permanent instore offerings are nice as well (the additional classes/races, player aids such as shared storage etc.) - It's a great way to get some people in playing the game and maybe paying a few dollars…

Scales on old computers well. Good community, and the 3.5 ruleset is fun. My only gripe is the feeling I'm working harder because I'm not paying more.

It is a unique for an mmo. Now that it is free there is no reason not to play it.

i used to enjoy playing ddo as an alternitive to wow. however the new f2p aspect is great tho i do with that they would have instead of making us buy warforged (as a vet i had a wf that was alread lvl 5ish i believe) let us keep that one & maybe add 1/2 orc (see dnd ph 3.0 & 3.5, dont kno bout the new dnd ph)
also i wasnt too fond of the rank system, if they would have let us lvl like in dnd would have been…

Completely shatters the bar for the free-to-play MMO market. Great combat but has a bit of a learning curve for gamers coming from more mainstream MMOs.

I Really Like it it has a unique system for pvp which is different from all mmos where you have to click on the char and spam skills in DDO its way differnt this is how its done its like playing fps but its not lol which is pretty sick i recommend this game if you haven't tried anything new in a while

Very fun if you enjoyed the table top game. Finialy a game that comes right out and says they are baseing all of the content off DnD. While others just use the spellbooks and change the names of the spells. Definatly need a group of friends to play with, just like table top. but other than that, its fun being able to kill things in one or two hits on solo mode. Makes you feel more like the hero you are supposed to be. rather then Most RPG's where every…
