I played this game without playing the 1st- And still understood what was going on. I loved it from the start and today it's still one of my favorite games. I usually tell people that enjoy story driven games to give this one a try. The story is wonderful and the characters are fantastic. I LOVE THIS GAME

Adventure gaming at its finest! I HIGHLY recommend you don't play this one first, but instead start with The Longest Journey http://raptr.com/game/PC/The_Longest_Journey?src=sg&index=1 because there is many areas in the game that you will not understand or fully realize what is happening. Dreamfall: The Longest Journey is part two in an original story that focuses heavily on character depth.
