Liked it

For those of you who loved Baldur's Gate, you will certainly enjoy Dragon Age: Origins (DAO). This is a rather formulaic, but very well done, fantasy role playing game. People who enjoy this type of game generally have no problems putting in 50 hours or more into a game and exploring every area in it. It is meant for the a gamer who perfers slower paced games. This genre of game is what got me into gaming many years ago, and Dragon Age is one of…

so far, so good! The origin stories are a real great way to get into the story...making your choice of what to play really impact the game on a global level...I'm only a few hours in...wish there was some better way to make silver or obtain healing potions...I feel like i'm always one foot in the grave!

I love this game like World of Warcraft, Knights of the Old Republic, and Elder Scrolls combined. I'm addicted. It's only slightly depressing but I couldn't have picked a better game to spend $50 on =)

Much to my surprise this single player RPG is more exciting and more addictive than almost any other game that I have played, including multiplayer games.
This game has a fantastic way of telling it's story... The experience of playing this game is comparable to that of reading a best seller book that you just can't put down.
One of the most satisfying parts of this game is that every single action and decision you make have a direct impact on how the NPC's perceive you, what quests unlock, what items…

Just like Mass Effect, this game has great characters (and character customization) and dialog options. The strategic combat aspect is one of the best I've encountered in this genre and the graphics are stunning. I've really only just started this game but can tell it is amazing and that it will hold many, many more hours of enjoyment for me.

I consider myself a casual RPG gamer, but this came stole my time, I just can't stop playing. First I start playing the Xbox 360 version which I think was very good but the PC version is superior in any way, with superior graphics and better gameplay. The atmosphere is alike the Lord of the rings, good battles, good story plot, good side quests, and you get love stories. Bioware has my respects and definitely I will buy Mass Effect 2, I just hope is as good as this one.…

I've never been any real fan of CRPGs - I always wanted to like them, but they always bored me. Dragon Age is the first CRPG I have ever played where I eagerly played all the way to the end - not to mention a second - and soon, third - playthrough. I've never found myself as immersed in a video game storyline before as I was playing through this game. I think the reason is that on top of strong writing, interesting characters, and a unique (if cliché thematically)…

I usually hate the solo rpg, boring quest, flat characters, etc. This game has redeemed the whole genre for me, besides some pathing/coding errors its a prefect game!
