This is definitely one of the best games I've played for the PC, and it wont ever let an RTS fan down. As VonBaronZ said, it really does set the benchmark, and honestly I highly prefer it to games like Supreme Commander which seem to alienate non-hardcore rts fans.

Top shelf, gold class RTS. Emphasis on troop tactics and using the environment to your advantage. Company of Heroes really sets the benchmark for deeply engaging, on the fly tactics.
