Braid (PC)

Braid is a puzzle-platformer, drawn in a painterly style, where the player manipulates the flow of time in strange and u more »nusual ways. From a house in the city, journey to a series of worlds and solve puzzles to rescue an abducted princess. In each world, you have a different power to affect the way time behaves, and it is time's strangeness that creates the puzzles. The time behaviors include: the ability to rewind, objects that are immune to being rewound, time that is tied to space, parallel realities, time dilation, and perhaps more. Braid treats your time and attention as precious; there is no filler in this game. Every puzzle shows you something new and interesting about the game world. « less

The art and music are amazing. The game play is a little ackward using keyboard but nothing too hard.

As others have said, this game has a very simple concept but it requires a lot of patience and thought. The puzzles can be very frustrating at times but that really just adds to the fun. There is no death but you have the opportunity to turn back the clock (which comes in handy!).

Don't get me wrong. I love killing, blood, gore, zombies and destruction as much as the next girl. But when you want a change of pace and want to wake up your brain for a challenge, Braid…

This game is so simple yet as you progress, the complexity becomes exponentially high. Braid brings a fresh twist to a platform game: time manipulation. No deaths. No lives. No 1-ups. Just turn back the clock and try again differently.

All I can say is that those who have yet to play it should truly try it out. Buy it, and be prepared to be very patient with it. Some of the solutions to the problem is so obvious, it never occurs to you.…

Genius. The word that describes Braid best.

Braid is the type of game I’m really appreciating nowadays. Extremely easy to learn and play (gee, it has just two tutorials, and of them is a wooden sign with a SINGLE button!) and yet very challenging from beginning to end. The way it uses the time manipulation mechanic in each World is fantastic.

Also a reason for me to love it is the short story, but with such deepness we can’t even imagine at first look. The storytelling may seem weak with just text…

A real masterpiece.

Attractive, ingenious, with a puerile scenario at first sight endowed with different levels of comprehension... this game is awesome.

Can't stand for the next .
