I liked the classes and the attacks, character customization was really great, the environment was so beautiful and vivid, and I'd have loved to play the full game.   The game is pretty good as it stands. There's a whole bunch of people saying WOW is better but wow has been out for a wile, so give this game some time and then rate it bad or good.

  When I first installed this game, I'll admit to being a bit skeptical. After all, many games have tried (and failed) to become successful. However Aion adds in a bit of a mix for me. I've always fancied the graphics of Guild Wars (though the game play wasn't that great in my opinion..and why couldn' more »t I jump!) and enjoyed the more challenging Vanilla WoW game play and pvp. Aion seems to encorporate both of the things I like most! Their beautiful graphics, and new exciting gameplay and pvp are definitely things to take into account. Being a WoW player of five years (and yes..everyone is sick of the WoW references..but to be honest..EVERYONE has played the game and can relate), I found things becoming far too casual and well..dull. In Aion you won't find yourself hitting max level within three days time. Things are more challenging, PvP battles themselves (though class balancing is in effect I'm sure) is much more exciting and takes on a twist with the aerial combat. I'll be straight forward and say that nothing in this game is particularly "easy". Even crafting and gemming your items can be a real pain, but it's new..and who plays a game because it's easy. We all enjoy a good challenge, so onward to Aion! « less

  There was a lot of potential for this game and it had a lot of hype. However, it seemed to fall into a lot of problems that just didn't keep me. I hate to compare games to WoW, especially since they're like the Wal-Mart of MMOs, but since they are directly challenging them, I will. The graphic more »s are awesome compared to WoW, but then again, WoW had a certain charm to it. Aion does too, but I guess it just doesn't fit my style. There's a lack of classes and races. Sure one could argue that there's 8 total, similar to WoW, but WoW then has talent trees that can change how you play. Aion just lacks that. Grinding. I hate grinding. Aion has too much of it. Solo-ability. It's hard to solo. Scratch that, It's hard to solo without grinding. Finally lore. I've always been a fan of Blizzard lore because they tell it so well. Aion though, started off with potential for great lore, but then just stopped. Before I knew it, I was just doing mindless quests that had nothing to do with the rest of the world. World of Warcraft at least had something to look forward to - I didn't even know what I had to look forward to.. fighting dragons? fighting the other faction? In WoW you save the freaking world. Multiple times. With all that said, it's still a pretty solid game. It's just not for me... and I've been spoiled by WoW. « less

  Drawing upon many MMORPG's Aion is basically a polished mix. If you are looking for something brand new, you wont find it here. If you are looking for a game with plenty to do, and highly polished gameplay look no further.

  A breath-taking MMORPG if there ever was one. The graphics are beautiful, the music enjoyable, and the gameplay phenomenol! This game has a greater difficulty level then some of the other major market MMORPGs that are out there. This may discourage some more casual players. At times questing can more » feel like a grind, but the real fun comes when grouping with others. PvP in this game is spectacular and fast-paced. Lots of action to go around in Aion, that's for sure! « less

  Very well made MMO, many saying that it is a revolution...the true is that it has the same game mechanics as WOW, plus just few new things. Basically this game has been made to take over on WOW...and they did it well. This game will take in the most of tired-WOW players. You'll find yourself doing n more »early the same things...   Aion is a beautiful, well-polished, well-presented game that introduces a new combat mechanic in fantasy MMOs, fighting on wings. In fact, it's such a lovely game that we wish there were more of it. While it offers something for both PvE and PvP-oriented players, it will only truly appeal to those w more »ho enjoy both, as the full Aion experience can only be achieved both by leveling up through quests and by playing in the Abyss when you're strong enough. The developers have actually added a great deal of PvE content in the process of localizing it for the North American/ European market and the potential is definitely there for the game to grow in that aspect but as it stands, ultimately the heart and soul of Aion is the Abyss. So obviously, if you enjoy both aspects in an MMO, Aion is definitely for you. If you lean towards PvE, there is enough content for you to enjoy for a few months but longevity may be an issue. Of course there's always a chance that more content will be introduced before you get tired of it, and who knows you might even enjoy PvP-on-wings. « less
