Plants vs. Zombies (Mac)

This game is so insanely addictive. It's essentially another defense game but the concept alone is noteworthy. How could you go wrong? Nature vs Undead!

In terms of gameplay, it really has a lot of replayability. In addition to the layered complexity of the game as you go through the levels, there are plenty of mini-games and puzzles to engage in. Zombie bowling, slot machine and even a mode where you play the zombies!

I'm pretty sure I'll end up spending more time on this game than many $60 games I've purchased.

  • This game is designed perfectly, from the gameplay and graphics to the music and sound effects. It just oozes adorable and I love the unusual mashup of plants and zombies.

PVZ itself only lasts 2-3 hours, but then you open up all the mini games, allowing the game to really show off its versatility. Come for the strategy, and stay for the cute art and catchy soundtrack!

  • It is like the meth of video games. After the first zombie was killed, I was hooked.

The addictive quality of the game could be its only downfall. I really couldn't stop playing, and I blew through the (short) campaign mode in a few days. The game does have a ton…

  • Awesome game, a must try. Very funny to see plants fighting off zombies. Cute and cool, don't know how to better describe it than to urge anyone just to try it. Then you will wish you didn't listen to me, because that's all you will be playing for the next hour! :)
