  Having been introduced to this game by a friend, I was somewhat skeptical about exactly how addictive a PopCap game could really be (having never played Bejeweled). To my surprise I thoroughly enjoyed it! The menus are self-explanatory, and easy to navigate too. There are two main different settings more » to the game, those being 'Adventure' and 'Challenge'. Adventure probably resembled a campaign or career the most if comparing it to other games, but with 55 levels to complete (and growing complexity to each) there is never a dull moment. Each stage is split into 5 levels, each of which entail the player trying to hit all of the orange 'pegs' on the screen. Gravity and angles will become your best friend as you try to work out the best strategy for using the least amount of balls per game. This equates very closely to the arcade and fayre-ground games of watching the ball tumble down to one of the buckets at the bottom, always trying to get the best score. This really isn't much different and despite the simple gameplay, it's always entertaining to beat best scores as well as use some of the interesting power-ups; and yes, this game has power-ups! Hitting a green peg in the game will affect your ball in certain ways; from having two balls bouncing around, to having a ball that doesn't bounce at all but goes through all the pegs it hits. This addition to the game increases the replay value as it allows you to hone your skills in on a specific attribute to the ball. My favourite is the 'Zen Ball', which, after getting it, works out the best possible angle for the ball to drop (within a margin of where the player decided to drop it anyway) allowing for a maximum orange count. Even after completing the Adventure mode, you'll still be able to play through all of the stages (with a selection of what power-up you want available) as well as Challenge mode which alters the pre-existing stages to be more puzzling and difficult. I haven't been bored of this game yet, and I now own it on both my iPhone and Mac. If you're a fan of arcade-style puzzle games, you'll really like Peggle, with the funky soundtrack, to lovable yet weird animal characters, there's never a dull moment. « less
