"Welcome to your doom!" Anyone familiar with this arcade classic will instantly recognize that as the greeting you recei more »ve when you start a game of ALTERED BEAST. Venture back to a time when gods ruled the Earth and gladiators fought for their honor. You've been recruited by Zeus to rescue Athena, and you'll have to make your way through five levels of the evil Underworld to save her. Luckily, you have the ability to transform into savage beasts that make you even more powerful than in your human form. Whether you're the Werewolf, the Weredragon, or the Weretiger, you'll gain special abilities as each beast that will make you an unstoppable machine. Actually, I'm fairly sure the greeting you receive upon starting the game is, "Rise from your grave." Good game, anyway. I always liked the second level best. Great for its time. ^^;

Teh basic early genesis game; short, repeditive, and fun. To see what early geneis games looked like this is the first one, the origional pack in. Its good, has two player action, and is fun to play, but don't expect a lot of replay value, for it does not save your high scores, and that is the only reason to replay it. But, its still good.
