This is a great and original game. I was obsessed with this game for the longest time, yet I found this ironic because I was doing things in the game that I often put-off doing in real life!

it was fun to play when i was younger. but i got older and i could not stand to play that game for hours on end of doing the same thing over and over. but the game does have it's marit. it gets lots of things to do. most of them you will miss on youre first play through. but once you go online and cheat... then you find all of the fun things to do and the game takes off from their. buy it or rent? well i would…

Despite the games graphical simplicity and distinct lack of gameplay Animal Crossing(AC) remains one of the most endearing games. Alone AC is not the most compelling experience but as a contrast to the fury and grind of other games it becomes a moving and meditative journey.

I object to all of the people who call Animal Crossing a casual game. Sure it isn't very strategic or action packed, but if you leave the game along for more then a few days your town has fallen to shambles(weeds everywhere!), you have roaches in your home, and half the people have moved away! This is one of those titles that I have such fondness for that I cannot possibly review it objectively. You pilot your little horned counter-part around a town full of animals, doing odd jobs for them in exchange for clothes and furniture. The game played out in real time, and allowed you to experience holidays and other events depending on what day it was. The FIRST in this series is basically a classic: an obscene amount of memorable tunes, addictive gameplay, cheerful graphics and the beginnings of multiplayer interaction. Pulling weeds, fishing and collecting bugs was never so much fun!

The Gamecube virtual life simulator! Gamers with itchy trigger fingers will not enjoy this game or those who play games for hours on end. This is just simply not that kind of game. Gamers who enjoy the slower pace, or people with children, will find much to enjoy here.
