The Nintendo DS version of NES-original, Dragon Quest IV (called Dragon Warrior IV back on NES), makes a classic RPG game much easier to play through from beginning to end, with many improvements thanks to the greater capabilities of the Nintendo DS.

Graphics are much more updated, and translated into a 2.5D aspect, 3D scenery but 2D control and character sprites, done in a well enough way to not bother the eyes on most people.

Same songs from NES version come back in this one, with more detailed and modern updates of…

The story is passable, but from start to end that is too...though I am more of a Final Fantasy gamer. The chat dialog is heavily accented for Old English, which reads more genuinely, but at times hard to even understand...a preference thing if you ask me. There are other additions; A prologue, mini medals, cutscenes of Nintendo DS quality, ETC. And being on a Nintendo DS game card is nice and portable, while still being durable...it's not the size of your hand on a NES cartridge this time. :) « less
