Dated, but still an enjoyable romp. This game earns the dubious distinction of having the worst voice acting I can remember in recent history. Is it really that hard to hire a German person rather than a group of folks who apparently have never actually heard a real German accent? The accents are so bad that I turned the dialog volume all the way down and enabled subtitles.

Wolfenstein has been in production by developer Ravensoft, owner id Software, and publisher Activision Blizzard since 2004.

While that's a long time to make a single video game, don't let this fool you or into spending a large $60 payment to have your own of this. It's definitely not the great game it was potentially able to be.

Singleplayer is basically like RtCW but with more graphics, that's mostly it. The gameplay is laughable easy regardless of skill level, and you could complete the story within a session of detention, if that…

What I expected:

1: Solid gameplay.
2: Interesting, dark, occult Nazi Germany storyline.
3: At least a few scary, cryptic levels.

What I got:

1: Decent gameplay.
2: Somewhat interesting, more or less bland, generic storyline.
3: A couple of dark lighted levels, but nothing scary at all. Mostly bright levels.

decent single player, like the used of the crystals and their power-ups. Weapon upgrades were cool and I liked that you had to judiciously decide which to get.

Really fun game. sometimes, you just need a generic shooter to calm your nerves, and Wolfenstein does this perfectly. The gunplay is fun, the upgrades are actually worth a crap, and the game has the same sorta half serious feel the original wolfenstein games had to them.
