Virtua Fighter 5 offers worldwide fighting stages in which as many as 17 contestants vie, including two new characters, more »El Blaze, a Mexican wrestler who dominates with his Lucha Libre fighting style, and Eileen, a Chinese Monkey style kung-fu champion. SEGA also has implemented a new "offensive move" enabling players to take down opponents from different angles; these moves are believed to set VF5 apart from past VF games. Like in Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution, players can customize their characters. They can pick from four base costumes in the beginning, and then choose from a wide spectrum of unlockable accessories items as they progress. By winning more tournaments, players not only earn costumes and accessories, they receive prizes and in-game money for browsing in the in-game shop. I'm not a fan of VF saga, but i like this one more than other fighting videogames :)

Visually pleasing, extremely balanced, challenging, rewarding and tight as you wouldn't believe. Virtua Fighter 5 is the best Virtua Fighter playable without going to the arcades and playing VF5:R. Utterly brilliant.

I'm biased. I hate the VF series. Always hated teh way it handled. Its just too damn rigid for a game that has so much promise. There's plenty of variations in moves and techniques, but just to small a window to use them in.

Absolutely HATED teh way the default button layout is. Oh and WHY do they have a character select timer in single player modes? This IS a console game right? I mean, I'm not at the arcade or online holdin anyone up, sooo.... yea.…
