This game is phenomenal, perhaps the best game i have ever played. For its time, Oblivion was ground breaking and really showed off what the xbox 360 could do early on. Bethesda created a game that the player could spend hundreds of hours on without getting bored, exploring a vibrant and exiting world. Having only had my Xbox a year i picked this game up earlier this year. The first mission, where you must escape from the imperial sewers did not hook me on this game. But after coming back to it i have certainaly become a great fan. The best thing about this game is the shear size of the world. The player has so much option on where to explore and the various side quests are interesting and fun to complete. The main quest is delivered with a quality story and some of the charecters are memorable. The gameplay is varied and many weapons can be found. The quests main focus is on closing oblivion gates. The player enters a world of lava and golblins to try and remove the sigil stone. These gates are fun to try and shut and add a lot to the story. The truly amazing amount of land to explore, a well worked main quest and tonnes of side quests and activities to keep you busy, this is a game that will not dissapoint. This game was the reason why I got a 360. There's just so much to do and so much to see, this is one of those game where I consider it an "experience" rather than just playing a game. You can customize your character however you want, wear anything you want or even run around the city in your undies if you wanted to *lol* There's just so much to do it can be overwhelming the first time you play, I know I was. I don't normally care for graphics

This game was the reason why I got a 360. There's just so much to do and so much to see, this is one of those game where I consider it an "experience" rather than just playing a game. You can customize your character however you want, wear anything you want or even run around the city in your undies if you wanted to *lol* There's just so much to do it can be overwhelming the first time you play, I know I was. I don't normally care for graphics and yes, I'm one of those old skool gamers that believe that gameplay is more important than graphics, but even i was amazed when I first got out of the sewers only to see the world outside, it was beautiful! The bad things about this game, the main quest storyline is short, very very short which was unfortunate. I found that the first time I was playing and I didn't do much of the side quests. Another thing is that I had played Morrowind before and coming in to Oblivion from playing Morrowind, I find that Oblivion as a whole has much less content, granted that Oblivion improved on a lot of stuff from Morrowind, but I just find that Oblivion felt smaller compared to Morrowind. Heck I passed Oblivion and done mostly everything in that game in less than a year maybe? Morrowind, let's just say, I haven't passed that game yet, seriously! ever since it came out, I still haven't passed it yet, and I play it on a constant basis. Another gripe is that after awhile, everything starts to look the same, the caves, forts you know, I really wish they had put more places that are different. All in All, Oblivion is great, and it's a game that all gamers should play or at least check it out, the team behind this game did a great job on this game and you can tell that they put a lot of care and devotion into this title and for that i applaud them because that is something that is very rare in gaming these day *applauds* keep up the good work and hope to see the 5th in the series ;D· Like · Go to review -
