This game is phenomenal, perhaps the best game i have ever played. For its time, Oblivion was ground breaking and really showed off what the xbox 360 could do early on. Bethesda created a game that the player could spend hundreds of hours on without getting bored, exploring a vibrant and exiting world. Having only had my Xbox a year i picked this game up earlier this year. The first mission, where you must escape from the imperial sewers did not hook me on this game. But after coming back to it i have certainaly become a great fan. The best thing about this game is the shear size of the world. The player has so much option on where to explore and the various side quests are interesting and fun to complete. The main quest is delivered with a quality story and some of the charecters are memorable. The gameplay is varied and many weapons can be found. The quests main focus is on closing oblivion gates. The player enters a world of lava and golblins to try and remove the sigil stone. These gates are fun to try and shut and add a lot to the story. The truly amazing amount of land to explore, a well worked main quest and tonnes of side quests and activities to keep you busy, this is a game that will not dissapoint. Overall - 9.6/10
This a game i would reccomend.it takes a extremely long time to finish but the content in the way to finish it is very well done. the shivering isles download pack may be a bit but it has a fantastic story line.
This game was the reason why I got a 360. There's just so much to do and so much to see, this is one of those game where I consider it an "experience" rather than just playing a game. You can customize your character however you want, wear anything you want or even run around the city in your undies if you wanted to *lol* There's just so much to do it can be overwhelming the first time you play, I know I was. I don't normally care for graphics…

Oblivion has plenty of flaws (like the absurdly awful voice acting and its many bugs), but its atmosphere, deep design, gameplay, animations, story and vast side quests more than make up for it. It's hard to pinpoint what exactly Bethesda did right, but playing this game fills me with joy and satisfaction. I've been gaming for over 20 years and this is one of my very favorite games.
Oblivion is a game that is worth the 60 euros for me. Such an immersive world with places you can explore or anything you would like to do. Be warned: this game will waste hours on you and you won't even know it. It's a classic rpg game and you can't go wrong with this game.
I still regret not to have listened to my friend when he told me that I needed to play Oblivion.....that would have giving me many the enjoyment sooner of "living" in this great world. I have not jet found another game that has pleased me more then this game. Exploring the fantasy setting and meeting the people and fighting the creatures has provided me with hours filled of entertainment.
Sometimes I regret that the world and my Castle cannot be shared online with friends, but then again...rpg's like Oblivion & Fallout…
It still looks totally gorgeous, and although the world map isn't as large as in Morrowind, the length and variety in the quests makes up for it. Although I can't call this game a pure RPG - it falls under the Action RPG genre if you ask me, game completion time is relatively short for an RPG and there's not much to do once you've completed the quests you care to undertake. I haven't really spent much time in the Shivering Isles expansion, because I really can't stand the voice…
