The Darkness is a regular comic book, but this videogame...it is one of the best comic-book based videogames i've played. However, sometimes it's too hard to know how to continue the story and hard to do the tasks needed
Totally awesome, as the powers, the story, the characters, the design, everything is so cool! I also really enjoyed the fun of watching real music videos and movies inside the game, that's a very cool concept! I recommend playing it on hard from the start; it gets a bit annoying to die often in some parts but it is worth it, and the game is too easy on Easy, which messes up the fun.
The Darkness turns out to be one of the most underestimated games of this generation. While not completely ingenious in it's mechanics, the sheer amount of fun to be had with the Darkness powers and overly violent execution animations make this a keeper. The aforementioned, however, are cast in the shadow of a very well written story that has been well voice-acted, scened, and animated. It's emotional plot twist still breaks my heart. After I was done with this game, I felt very depressed. Writing this review made me remember how depressed it made me. Only replayability seems to be stuck in the multiplayer modes, which seem gimmicky and have no real flavor to them. But you can find this game for under $10 now, so why not give it a shot?
Such an underrated game. I absolutely adored The Darkness. It has to be one of the best storytelling experiences this generation for me. The world is alive and the characters are so deep and rich. The gameplay is pretty decent but the Darkness powers make this game unique.
Am I the only person who sat down in Jennys apartment to watch 'To Kill A Mockingbird?' Great feature.
