Shining Force 1 and 2.
Those games were my childhood, and only adding The Lost Vikings would have made this pack complete for me.
Several titles in there I think don't belong (Alex Kidd, for one), but in general it has lots of fun titles, and only missing a select few outstanding titles.
This game is near perfect. The reason it doesn't get a perfect 5 star rating is selection. The presentation and selection are amazing, but it IS lacking. I grew up with Genesis, and still regularly collect carts with my friends, so I know a lot more obscure games than the Sonic series and Streets of Rage. They ARE great games, but there are so many others. Games like King's Bounty and Skeleton Krew aren't seeing the light of day on these collections, and it's upsetting. That being said, there's a…
Like the Orange Box, it's hard to find deals better than this one. What you'll find here is arguably the most complete collection of Sega games ever released and it's a budget title!
Ah the Sega genesis. Sega's only widely accepted console. And boy does sega know it. They have been porting the same games to every console generation since the genesis. And this is yet another pack they have thrown together. Thats not to say its bad, its just that you most likely have the 16-bit games already. But there are lots of other games that are just as great. Vectorman 1 and 2 are great, and alien soldier is also good. Its a good pack, but only if you don't…
You get a lot of bang for your buck with this collection and despite owning the PS2 version, I still felt a heaping load of Nostalgia while playing this.
I'd probably buy this for the Phantasy Star titles alone but I own PS2 on the 360 arcade so hopefully they release rest of them on there.
Just a note but Beyond Oasis has some terrible sound effects that hurt my ears. Unsure if it was like that in the cart but man it was painful.
Okay, I LOVE this game for the simple fact I spent a LOT of time mastering these games as a kid. So to get them all in one collection for a low price is like Christmas to me.
Now, i know a lot (if not all) these games may not hold up today with the younger crowd. But for people in there mid twenties and up, this is more than worth lookin into.
Hell, i woulda picked this up just for Streets of Rage 1-3 and Shinobi 3 alone.
