This is a great skateboarding game... Tony Hawk and Activision should just stop making games after Skate first came out it was the downfall of Tony Hawks series. The area to play in is very diverse and creative. One of the coolest things about this game is that you can move ramps and rails to create your own skate lines.
I will say the new trick stick feature is innovative. The only problem I have is the anolog not tracking the correct movement. I find myself doing a completely different trick than what I was shooting for. Also the bail respawn feature is frustrating when respawned behind an insignifcantly small curb, minuet npc character, or area not part of the game. Along with slow and horrible camera angles make some of the challenges almost near impossible and too time consuming. Other than that the gameplay is surprisingly smooth, large sized free roam map with a teleport feature (+), awsome replay editor to save some kick ass footage, and an okay music selection. ***
Great game, LOTS of playtime and challenging story line. I like the multiplayer, however I think they should set up a better ranking system considering some of the acheivements require online play and you get put against people that are LOTS better than you because its just random joining instead of an actual ranking system with lobbies.....but overall I am VERY glad I purchased this game!!
Great game.. just as good as the first one, adding the very popular "hall of meat".. if u like video games, this needs to be in your library. RIP tony hawk.. Long Live SKATE
With the novelty of the control scheme stripped away, Skate 2 feels like a bit of a rehash, but the large number of new moves and a hugely modified area in which to play make it worth the time of any skating game fan. The DLC is for the most part a good value and there's a lot of fun to be had with the improved replay system. Highly recommended.
