Saints Row 2 isn't a GTA killer, but it's a GTA alternative. Players who enjoyed the action-packed moments of GTA will have an absolute blast with Saints Row 2. It's tough not to hate on the slightly lacking production values, but when you see the rest of the game it actually makes a bit more sense. The technical shortcomings are the only truly bad part of Saints Row 2, but the core gameplay experience is extremely enjoyable. Do yourself a favor and -- if you're a fan of open world games -- go out and pick up a copy of Saints Row 2. There's enough crazy-insane tomfoolery to keep a machete in the hands of even the most straight- laced citizens.

This for me did everything and anything that GTAIV didn't although it is more of a cartoon and less life like, the gameplay is so much better, i wouldnt exactly choose this over GTAIV i would say you have to have both haha,
the co-op is amazing playing through the game with friends is so much more fun however it does seem to crash a hell of alot so save often apart from that top notch GO BUY IT!! -
This game well... i dont have it but my freinds do and i go to thier house to play it and well i say its good cause like the gang fights are fun and its funny when u mess with ur gang like punch them all and run away and make it look like a mob and stuff so yea i say this games good like the violince...... BAD SPELLIN/ i dont reall care Ha so i think people who like these modern acti. and adv. games rated M 0.o… -
Much better than the first! Still not sure if it measures up to the GTA series which it's obviously borrowing from but great on it's own. -
The most customizable Sandbox game since San Andreas. It's additively fun, but visuals are very poor. Animation is strangely odd and the character is basically the Hulk. Co-Op is the highlight of the game. Online multiplayer can get boring after a while, especially with Stronghold. -
This game would be better if you could still fight the gangs after you beat the game badicly after you take out that last guy the game is over like its still fun but not as much after the last mission but overall the cloths are fresh the downloads are good the graphics are awsome and the game is prewty good i will give it a 4/5 -
A really good game, the beginning is quite boring, in solo particularly, but when you start to get you crew and territory, you discover the real potential of this game and it's great.
As said in the previous review, this game is wonderful in coop and one of rare games in which you feel totally free. -
Exactly the way that open world co-operative game play should be done. Freedom to do whatever you like within the game, and rewarding sillyness while encouraging exploration of the world. I'm still finding new hidden areas in the city and it's surroundings months after having beaten it. AND I'm still itching to play though it again. -

I really enjoyed this title, includes alot of fun. And the co-op was good, apart from a little bit of lag and this was playing with someone from america, so if they sort the co-op out then saints row 3 looks to be a great title. -
The exact definition of a "fun" game. GTA IV became too reliant on realism and missed it's sense of fun that was so rife in it's predecessors. Saints Row 2 however is more fun than "Fun: The Game - For Fun People". Fully co-operative, tons to see and do, a massive variety in missions, a horde of unlockable content (such as cloths and weapons), the ability to streak and flash total strangers for "respect", Ninja and Pirate costumes, flying saucers, driveable flaming buggies, highly customiseable cars and gang… -
Good single player mode but needs work with coop. -
Took me a while to get the hang of the controls (could just be me being stupid though, lol) but great game once I'd got passed that. Love the variety for customising your character, also awesome that you can be a girl gangster!
