  This is probably the best hockey game i've played in a while. The controls are smooth and responsive and cater to everyone. The presentation of the game is wonderful as well.   This is the most complete hockey game ever made. EASHL has vastly improved, adding more game lobbies to make starting games with more than 6 players waiting easer. There are a ton more pages to the club page, adding team records, and team challenging is a plus as well. The prospects game more »is a good addition to Be-A-Pro, where how you do in that game affects where you get drafted. Be-A-GM is an interesting addition. Some of the goals you are given are kind of stupid(like having to get rid of some cash from payroll when you are already plenty under the salary cap, or trades when you don't need to). The AI GM's are pretty good to. They don't accept dumb trades, and generally accept fair trades. They also have needs and wants that they go after as well(rebuilding, or making that playoff push at the trade deadline). Overall game play has improved as well, with pucks bouncing at correct angles, and the ability to pin agains the boards creating an authentic version of playing the boards. Passing takes some time to get used to, goalies are somewhat smarter. Overall this is the best hockey game ever made! « less

  For hockey fans, this is a solid game to purchase even if you own NHL 09. While the things that they've added aren't immediate, the general polish of the game is noticeable. Real hockey fanatics will love the scrums against the boards, slowing down the game to a realistic tone instead of the constan more »t up and down of the previous iterations. Be A GM mode you can either take it or leave it. I hate it, my friends and colleagues are indifferent, some people I know love it. The real meat of the game is in EASHL, the online Be A Pro league. It's a bit unbalanced due to some people just purchasing slotted items and boosts, but it's very rare that a single player can take over a game to the point where it's unfair. If you have friends to play with, this is a must have for hockey fans. If your going to play solo, it's a great opportunity to make some friends while playing cooperatively in a league. « less

  With the addition of the BE A GM mode alone made this a must buy, but the guys at EA out did themselves again with revamping the BE A PRO mode, online seasons and all the little tweaks that were made to the play. Board play in amazing, player controlled passing and those spectacular goalie saves t more »hat make me jump out of my seat everytime. If you are a hockey fan this is a must buy and if your a sports fan you owe it to yourself to play this game. « less
