  I love this game. It doesn't get the fifth star yet, but it will by next year if they keep improving the game as much as they did from last year to this years version. Don't believe the 2K series hype! There is alot of bias out there when comparing these two games. Take my advice, play them both bef more »ore purchasing either one. What is funny about the reviews with these two games, the big name sites will point out issues with Live 10 that ALSO exist in the 2K game, but they never mention them. or, they sell out and say that the 'issues in the game don't impact the overall gameplay experience'. If that is the case, why do you point to players missing too many close shots as a negative in Live 10, but not mention it in the review of 2K10? Just ridiculous. I prefer Live 10, and this is my second year in a row picking Live over 2K. I bought the 2K games up until 2K8, but, after playing Live last year, I converted. I like the look and feel of Live better. The controls aren't as complicated, and feel very natural. Also, the games framerate is rock solid on and offline, ESPECIALLY when compared to 2K's engine. 2K, in my opinion, is the worst online sports game I have played yet. Choppy framerate or lag, take your pick. Live is my b-ball game of choice. Play them both and I bet you will like it over 2K as well. Also, gamespot rated Live 10 higher than 2K this year. So like I said, this years decision is neither roght nor wrong, but, Live is the funner and better looking option. It has the right mix of sim and action for me. « less

  Nba Live 10 is now a visual dynamo. It looks amazing and has great presentation across the board. The only problems are the fouling, the jumpshooting and the new controls that make you feel like you're playing 2K w/ different achievements. The shoot button is now just X so it's much harder to contro more »l your offense and get the exact shot that you want off. The shooting is also extremely tough. Most online games end with scores around 50pts per game and the only way people shoot is by holding the shoot button till the computer does it for you. I really hope they fix it soon. Could be much better gameplay-wise but still not too bad. « less

  NBA Live 10, while it certainly has issues that people are going to gripe about, is exactly what the series needed to fire up its dwindling fan base and add new players alike. The gameplay is nicely refined and emulates real basketball with much greater success than past games. I expect NBA Live 11 more »to really step up and deliver more than this year’s game did in terms of modes. Couple some sort of career mode with the smooth gameplay and the next entry in the Live series could steal the crown away from 2K Sports. « less
