This co-operative action horror FPS takes you and your friends through the cities, swamps and cemeteries of the Deep Sou more »th, from Savannah to New Orleans across five expansive campaigns. You’ll play as one of four new survivors armed with a wide and devastating array of classic and upgraded weapons. In addition to firearms, you’ll also get a chance to take out some aggression on infected with a variety of carnage-creating melee weapons, from chainsaws to axes and even the deadly frying pan. You’ll be putting these weapons to the test against (or playing as in Versus) three horrific and formidable new Special Infected. You’ll also encounter five new “uncommon” common infected, including the terrifying Mudmen. Helping to take L4D’s frantic, action-packed gameplay to the next level is AI Director 2.0. This improved Director has the ability to procedurally change the weather you’ll fight through and the pathways you’ll take, in addition to tailoring the enemy population, effects, and sounds to match your performance. Love it! Same feel as the first one but with a ton of bonuses! I wasn't crazy about the melee weapons at first but once i got used to it I love it and spend half the game using the axe or machete. Oh, and if I see a chainsaw look out! Seriously, LOOK OUT because I usuallu equip it and go crazy slingin that bad boy around in circles. It's the best way to kill EVERYONE in the game, Sa-weeet!

Eh, it's okay. I am really glad i didn't pay full price for this game. The campaigns are definitely longer than the first one, and there are more enemies. But it's just okay.

Did I ever tell you guys about the time my buddy Keith played this game? Well he thought it would be funny to hit the witch with a frying pan, and OH BOY was he scared when that screaming psycho came chasing after him. I think that boy was cleaning the same pair of draws for 2 weeks.

This is a phenomenal game. They improved on pretty much everything from L4D and the new Special Infected add a much welcomed twist to all the gametypes. The levels are amazing too, the detail that went into not just scenery but gameplay aspects is stunning. Definitely worth the purchase.

Everything you loved about The original L4D comes back with a bang. More weapons more infected,better Finales,a new lovable cast of survivors and new game modes. Added with the fact that you can now gain avatar awards makes this a definite must buy for the holiday season.

Simply incredible. Everything Left 4 Dead should have been. Impressive overall, and seems to feel like the definitive survival horror FPS it has always strived to be. Other than frame skipping during moments that have hordes of zombies on the screen, this game is a must buy. An incredible job by Valve.

This game was just plain fun, pure and simple. I mean once I unwraped it and played, holy crap, I just couldn't put it down. 2hr in and on co-op we still didn't have one whole "level" done yet, only due to the fact that the AI 2.0 kept making the game harder for us, by adding tanks and chargers everywhere. Totally worth it.

I find the gameplay, features, and updated graphics/physics amazing!

However, the characters seem a little lack-luster. You know what I mean? They aren't as awesome as L4D characters (Gamer chick, Vietnam Vet, Biker, Business man who spent his lunch hours at the firing range).

Now all we have is a poor chick, a fat retired gym coach, a wanderer(which would be cool if they didn't make him ugly), and the only cool guy there, a good-looking teenage mechanic guy who wants…

Overall, i think this game is amazing and will make Valve millions and millions of dollars (rightfully so). My only concern is the characters. Valve if you read this, put awesome stereotypes back in L4D!!!! « less
