Although Round 3 was slightly better, this game isn't lacking too much. I found the controls very obnoxious when training my boxer before a fight. I swear to God, I was doing and uppercut, but it showed me over and over again doing a hook... Still a fun game, especially online.
At first, I hated the new FN. Now that I have had a chance to get knee deep into it, I LOVE it. I love the Legacy Mode, and I thoroughly HATE the training games. That is probably the biggest gripe I have with this game. Other than that, while the cartoony graphacs take a little getting used to, this game stilll merits a five star rating.
dope game.. im sending out a challenge to everybody that wants to get beat up in fight night... hit me up at brooklyn03 on xbox live.... bow wow & souljaboy this goes to yall 2... bow wow stop running.. lol
I'm not typically a boxing game guy, especially when it's not Punch Out. I played the Demo for this game and I knew I had to buy it. The depth of the game is amazing. Blocking and countering is amazingly easy to learn, but so challenging to master. The legacy mode is a lot of fun giving a lot of boxing flavor without overwhelming the layman. Also, the ESPN and EA partnership for the presentation is great. I was completely shocked when I heard real life ESPN Radio news about actual breaking headlines while I was preparing for my next fight.
Well done EA, you guys are on the right track to becoming a great company yet again.
Yet another pro's vs con's battle. This game does a lot of things right, but a few major things wrong. This is the most graphically beautiful game in the series yet, and the new corner system is top notch. However, the footwork now leaves a lot to be desired, and the training game are a bit harder than they should be. The worst part is, they took what was a tactical boxer, and made it more of a slugfest. This is hard to explain, but play the demo even and you will understand what I mean.
I don't like how these sports game's think that navigating a calender and an e-mail inbox is the best way to go about things, it's slow and clunky. Also I'm tired of using mini-games to level up my guy. I kind of wish they'd adopt a system similar to that of the Tiger Wood's games and kind of level up your guy based on how you play. But other then those minor set backs there isn't a better game of boxing out there.
