  One of my favorite games this year! If you are an RPG fan this is a must buy! 6 different classes to choose from (Mage is by far my favorite) and a big list of other members to choose from to join your party. And the story is excellent, could you expect any less from bioware? The game does have s more »ome draw backs though. The game doesn't have the standout graphics you would expect on a 360 but it doesn't have the ugliest either. A lot can happen during battle which can get confusing as you are ordering your team around. Also the fighting can feel a bit off at times. However, I am addicted to this game! « less

  Dragon Age is a great RPG that will give you plenty of bang for your buck. Think of it as a longer KotR set into a medieval fantasy realm.

  Goddamn this game is awesome. I normally stay away from the more traditional types of RPGs, but Dragon Age: Origins is just one hell of a game to pass. It's challenging, you have loads of quests to do and gameplay really works beautifully. You get to control a four man team of badasses, and every ne more »w team member has a very unique personality and skills. You yourself get to control either a warrior, rogue or a mage, who all play very differently as one might expect. And well, pretty much my only complaint about the game is how underpowered the rogues are. Other than that, it's all gold. « less

  Bioware delivers a role-playing epic. The story is well-told, if somewhat cliche, but where their craft shines the brightest is in the nation of Ferelden and the people that inhabit it. The characters that join you in your quest are interesting people with depth. Interacting with them (and watchi more »ng them interact with one another) made this one of the most memorable RPG's I've played in years. The combat is solid, if a little unpolished, but Bioware has delivered a game I couldn't wait to start playing again. « less

  Dragon Age: Origins is a new RPG from Bioware, the creators of Baldur's Gate, Mass Effect and many other great RPGs. Dragon Age starts with character creation. You can choose from 3 races, 3 classes and total of 6 origin stories. Races are human, elf and dwarf. Classes are Warrior, Mage and Rogue. more »Origins stories include such as human noble, magi, dwarf commoner and city elf. As for classes, there is also 4 different specializations for each one. Warrior can become templar or berserker and Mage can become healer, shapeshifter or perhaps blood mage. Rogue can specialize in melee or ranged weapons, for example. The game starts in different places for every origins story and the first 45 minutes of the game is different for them all. Then the big story is revealed. Basically you are recruited to Grey Wardens, an organization of the most elite warriors dedicated to the destruction of darkspawn. Your first battle is at Ostagar, where darkspawn outnumbers you. King Cailan and all but you and Alistair, another Grey Warden, dies when Loghain, King's strategist flees and betrays Cailan. Then you are to gather forces from all over the land to confort Loghain and then to drive darkspawn off the land. The story if full of surprises, it's well written and it's fun. You speak with A LOT of people and make much difficult choises, that makes the story change direction. The gameplay is basically simple, but then again very deep. You control a party of four and you can switch between these four any time you want. Everyone has a lot of different skills. You can do all by yourself or you can choose to use tactics to make your party members automatically do something when something happens. For example, you can have your healer cast a heal when some ally's health is under 50% or you can have your mage cast an aoe spell when surrounded by 3 enemies. There is a lot to do and the game is very long. You can easily make it 30-100h per playthrough depending on how many side quests you do. I think it's one of the best RPGs ever. « less

  I love RPG's and this one reminds me a lot of Oblivion . . . I love how customizable the characters are the all the world/people/clothing :) I'm planning on playing this over the long haul and beating the game on every race/sex/origin combo to get all the achievements and truly beat it!!!
